This is an incredible wool and silk Kerman area rug. Dating from the 1880’s this Kerman area rug originated from Persia, specifically the area around the capitol city of Kerman, in Southern Iran. Kerman area rugs are known to be the most striking and beautiful area rugs eve made.
This area rug is an incredible example of Kerman design, with a beautiful ivory field, and accenting of silk and vibrant reds and blacks.
